WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?


When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. The information you provide is only available to qatmer and Shopify and will not be shared with other third parties. 

We may also collect information about where you are on the Internet (such as the website you came from, IP address, etc.), the country where your internet service provider is located, the pages of our site that were viewed during your visit, and any search terms that you used.

We may also need to share your data with our trusted payment, fraud control and marketing partners. This will only ever be shared where necessary and always in a safe and secure way.

Once your order has been processed securely online, we do not keep any record of your payment method details.

SEEING ADVERTS FOR QATMER ONLINE

We engage in online advertising to keep you informed about our current or new released products. Like many companies, we target qatmer banners and ads to you when you are on other websites and apps. We do this using a variety of digital marketing networks and ad exchanges, and we use a range of advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels, ad tags, cookies, and mobile identifiers, as well as specific services offered by some sites and social networks.

The banners and ads you see will be based on information we hold about you, or your previous use of qatmer website, social media platforms related to qatmer banners or ads you have previously clicked on.

KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION

We keep your information for as long as you have your account, or as long as is needed to be able to provide the services to you, or (in the case you contacted info(at)qatmer.com) for as long as is necessary to provide support-related reporting and trend analysis only.

If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Our data processor Shopify has taken steps to ensure that the platform is compliant by May 28th including:

- appointing a data protection officer

- adding a Data Processing Addendum to terms of service

- delivering GDPR training to key teams to ensure future Shopify developments are compliant

- implementing a Data Protection Impact Assessment process.
